About Phasic – Ltd, our background and expertise

The organisation was established in 2012. Phasic provides specialist safeguarding advice, support and training. We serve and support organisations in the voluntary, statutory, private and faith sectors.

We are very proud of the excellent relationships we have with a large number of schools and Early Years settings. Phasic is also a respected provider delivering safeguarding training to all early years settings in Leicestershire and also to School Governors on behalf of the County Council 

Paul’s background and expertise

Paul’s worked in Local Health Authorities he’s coordinated services for families with children who have life limiting conditions. He’s also been responsible for coordinating services around vulnerable young people, at risk of homelessness.

He was responsible for establishing and managing a Sure Start Children’s Centre Programme. Managing a programme across 8 centres with 20 core staff and more than 25 multi agency commissioned partners. Paul was also the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the locality programme working closely with children’s social care and case conferences 

More recently, Paul worked in the Safeguarding Unit of a Local Authority, in the LADO team. In the role, he managed and investigated allegations against school staff. 

Paul is a regular national consultant to churches and umbrella organisations in the faith sector 

Sue’s background and expertise 

Sue only delivers to churches and faith based groups for Phasic.

In 2003 Sue became a Family Outreach Worker responsible for the setting up a network of parent support groups around the county and so she participated in local government initiatives and operational services for families with disabilities.

This led to becoming the lead in the Sure Start programme representing the voluntary sector. Then in 2009 a move to Leicestershire County Council’s Learning & Development Service. Sue now manages the Children & Family Services Learning and Development Team.

Sue manages the training programme for all Social Care & Early Help and manages the whole of the learning needs and training programme from student social workers, newly qualified social workers and through to team managers as well as to unqualified staff in these teams.

Sue’s expertise is in the developing, training and delivery of all safeguarding themes.

Sue is also an accredited Mental Health First Aider and Mental Health First Aid Trainer for MHFA England both for adults and youth

Both Paul and Sue are experienced trainers, consultants and advisors, taking their expertise in the other meeting such a faith based organisations and churches.
