An unexplained injury of change is where either no explanation is offered or where the explanation offered does not make sense of the mark or change that we have seen.

Significant developmental delay can be an indicator of abuse.

A disclosure of abuse is where the child, or someone else, tells us about abuse that the child is experiencing.
