About Phasic Limited
Phasic, was established in 2012 by Paul & Sue Harrison, delivering specialist safeguarding advice, support and training to organisations in the voluntary, statutory, private and faith sectors.
We have excellent relationships with a large number of schools and early years settings across the East Midlands. We are also a “preferred provider” to deliver training to all early years settings in Leicestershire and to School Governors.
Paul has worked within a Health Authority, coordinating services for families with children with life limiting conditions. He has also worked within two Local Authorities; managing various projects and early intervention services for children and families.
He was responsible for establishing and managing a Sure Start Children’s Centre Programme. Managing 8 centres and 20 core staff and a programme delivered by more than 25 multi agency partners and commissioned services. Paul was the Designated Safeguarding Lead for the locality programme so was involved with the escalation of cases needing statutory intervention.
More recently, he has worked in the Safeguarding Unit of a Local Authority, in the LADO team. Here, he was managing and dealing with allegations about schools staff and staff within other organisations.
Sue returned to the workforce in 2003 to be an advocate for a small charity for families who were affected by disability. She became a Family Support Worker responsible for the setting up a network of parent support groups around the county and participated in local government strategy initiatives and operational services for families with disabilities.
In 2007 Sue became the voluntary sector lead for the Sure Start programme then moved in 2009 to the Learning & Development Service for our Children & Families services as a trainer and advisor, from there she now manages the Children & Family Services Learning and Development Team.
Sue has oversight for the training programme to all Social Care & Early Help staff. She manages the whole of the learning needs and training programme from student social workers, newly qualified social workers, through to team managers as well as unqualified staff in these teams.
Sue’s expertise is in the development, training and delivery of all safeguarding themes such as
- Domestic Abuse,
- Forced Marriage,
- Honour Based Violence
- Child Sexual Exploitation,
- child development
- Signs of Safety approaches.
Sue is also an accredited Mental Health First Aider and Mental Health First Aid Trainer both for adults and youth.
